Parans markets and develops patented high quality products in the field of natural lighting. Our customers require high quality and healthy indoor environments in an energy efficient way.
The company was founded in 2002 and the first version of Parans' patented technology was commercialized in 2004. It was developed through extensive R&D in collaboration with Chalmers Technical University in Goteborg Sweden. The product was conceived from a desire to improve the
possibility of bringing sunlight into classrooms and improve the indoor environment. Parans also wanted to
help the construction industry to use materials effectively in the
construction of large buildings, without compromising the level of
sunlight entering the building.
WWF and GlobalFOCUS awarded the "Parans Climate Solver" award for being one of Sweden's 12 most important climate innovators. Parans has received the "Globe Award" and "Saving the Planet in Style" award by three leading design and sustainability organizations in Sweden: Konstfack, O2 Nordic, and Albaeco, with the aim of giving attention to socially and ecologically sustainable designs. Parans brings us back to nature and creates indoor environments in which we thrive.
